Creative Programs and Events for October Showcase- Less than a week away!
PHILADELPHIA, Pa., October 1, 2009- NxtUp Philly is less than a week away and the public can now visit www.nxtupphilly.com to view an open calendar featuring over 150 event listings. Groups and organizations can still post programs for NxtUp Philly’s twelve-day showcase that celebrates the Philadelphia region’s creativity, commerce and community. The website’s open calendar highlights innovation and new ideas and presents discussions of art, design, film, business, architecture, fashion, food and much more. NxtUp Philly will be running from October 5-16, 2009 and visitors of the NxtUp Philly website can share events with friends using Facebook and Twitter.
NxtUp Philly will feature more than 150 artistic and innovative programs taking place throughout the Philadelphia region during the twelve-day showcase. Highlights include The Global Creative Economy Convergence Summit, DesignPhiladelphia, Ignite Philly and NxtUp Education. The events and programs being presented cover the entire spectrum of the region’s creative economy and will be held all over the region. NxtUp Philly provides a chance to make the market visible, see what others are doing, create new networks, develop new partnerships and see new ventures.

NxtUp Philly
Conceived in the summer of 2009, NxtUp Philly quickly grew to 300 creative and innovative events, all of which take place in the Philadelphia region and feature local groups. NxtUp Philly features a twelve-day calendar of events that celebrates the Philadelphia region as forward thinking while making it easy to identify the region’s variety of innovation and creativity. The organizers for NxtUp Philly are esteemed members of Philadelphia ’s creative community.
