The love Paul has for his wife and his family just BEAMS-out of his words. I'm all teary and what-not. Another great interview Lorraine. Thanks !

These stories are wonderful to read and share...Hope Black women will get the message that the only limitations are themselves....I love you guys! Even though we're all the same poeple...LOL

I went to high school in Hallandale! :-D This was a very warm and loving piece. Thanks for writing this Lorraine!

Last evening a friend referred to a quote from him in this month's issue of the journal "Commentary". The article is called "Chosenness and Its Enemies" by Jon D. Levenson.

Paul appears to be rather religious, and reminded me Portuguese Nobel prize winner for literature author Jose Saramago quoted in the above article. Paul might object to my characterization of him, but I do believe that he is one of the "chosen". That is he "chose", he didn't stumble upon his destiny by default. He didn't succumb to the conformity dictated by the judgments of others. While of course, the more narrow meaning of the "chosen" refers to the strictly Jewish concept of God's chosen people. My use of "chosen" is much more secular and universal as I think Paul's life exemplifies. Imre Kertesz book "Fatelessness" which also emphasizes this ability of individuals to chart their own courses.

Thanks for sharing these insightful interviews; Paul is an amazingly down to earth person.
