Cassandra Pettiford and Garrick Landsberg
Cassandra Lynn Pettiford, a daughter of Martha F. Pettiford and Arthur L. Pettiford, both of Tifton, Ga., was married Saturday to Garrick Byron Landsberg, a son of Christa Landsberg of Sterling Heights, Mich., and Richard D. Landsberg of New Port Richey, Fla. The Rev. Sam Mixon, a Universal Life minister, officiated at the Day Chapel in the State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens, Ga.
The bride, 33, will continue to use her name professionally. She is the coordinator for visual history at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles. She helps produce and edit interviews with directors for the guild’s archives. She graduated from the University of Georgia and received a master’s degree in art history from Florida State and a master’s degree in moving image archive studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Her father retired as a mechanic at the Tifton plant of the Georgia Power Company. Her mother retired as a nurse practitioner at Tift Health Care, a nursing home in Tifton.
The bridegroom, 38, is an associate and an architectural designer at CO Architects in Los Angeles. He graduated from Oakland University in Rochester, Mich., and received master’s degrees in both historic preservation and in architecture from Columbia. He was a United States Marine from 1988 to 1992, attaining the rank of corporal. He served in the Persian Gulf War on the Nassau, an amphibious assault ship, as an avionics technician.
His mother retired as the bookkeeper at Bethesda Christian Church in Sterling Heights. His father retired as a wood patternmaker in the Chevrolet division of General Motors, in Warren, Mich.
What a nice couple! They have wonderful backgrouds and I wish them all the absolute best.

Cassandra resembles Rev. Run's daughter, Vanessa. She's beautiful.
